Captain of the senior national team, the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan said he is fit to play in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia on Sunday, June 11.
The skipper who has suffered injury in recent times is in Kumasi with the rest of his teammates preparing for the crucial game.
“I am fit to play and just going to the field to do what I do best. It is an important game for all of us and we are ready to play a good game,” he said to the media.
He added that, most of the players are willing to give a good account on Sunday at Kumasi in their bid to begin the qualification process on a good note.
It would also be the first game for returnee coach Kwesi Appiah who has been tasked to qualify Ghana to the 2019 AFCON.
The coach has invited 30 players for the game against Ethiopia as well as other friendly matches between USA and Mexico.
